16:18 PDT, Thursday, April 11

A small quake occurred at 7:29 pm Wednesday night, 8 miles west-southwest of Point Conception, or 18 miles south-southwest of Lompoc. It was felt in Lompoc.


07:43 PDT, Monday, April 08

Friday morning's M4.2 Hector Mines quake was reported felt in San Bernardino, Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, Desert Hot Springs, and Indio.

We recorded a couple of M3+ Baja quakes over the weekend: a M3.4 at 6:58 am on Sunday, 40 miles south of Calexico; and a M3.1 at 4:32 pm Sunday, located 72 miles south-southwest of Ocotillo.

The only quake that was reported felt over the weekend, however, was a M1.9 at 3:53 the morning. The epicenter was 2 miles northwest of Culver City. The "felt reports" came from Los Angeles, Culver City, and West Los Angeles.


07:17 PST, Friday, April 05

Just after midnight, at 12:02 am, this morning, there was a M4.2 located 16 miles south-southwest of Ludlow, or 27 miles north of Joshua Tree. Even though the focal mechanism appears to be oblique normal, it is probably a Hector Mines aftershock. So far, no-one has reported feeling it.

06:25 PST, Wednesday, April 03

There was a small quake (M2.8) at 2:39 am this morning, located 4 miles south-southeast of Banning. It may have been felt in Idyllwild.
